December 18th, 2007 by michelle-ching87

13 November 2007 - Met up with Adeliyn, at about 1145am, at Midvalley, we went straight to the GSC ticketing counter to get our tickets for Alvin and Chipmunks.

We decided to have our lunch at McDs.. guess who we bumped into? Lester, Keith, Carol, and Andrew.. What a small small world :)

Anyway, the movie was superb. After the movie we went jalan jalan.. and talk and talk since the next day she’ll be leaving for Brunei with her mum to to visit her sis there. After jalan jalan, we landed in good old coffee bean! :) Simply amazing to have a friend who have so much in common! :) We exchange gifts before departing from that place. If it wasnt for time constraint, we would have linger at Mid V longer .. :)

7-101207 STU Camp 2007

December 18th, 2007 by michelle-ching87

7-10 December 2007

STU camp 2007! A camp which I hesitated at first, wondering what it would be like to be in a camp for 4 days, mostly with BB, GB and SSS people whom I may not know! But I’m really glad I went. I brought Maybelle to the camp!

The whole camp overall was tiring but fun fun fun! Got to know new people and made friends. And it was quite an adventure for me, I say its fear factor camp for me, things that I was afraid and never thought I could have done it, but I’ve done it. Talk about the mighty power of our awesome God!

I was afraid of heights, I went for the flying fox, being off the land at about 60 feet off the ground, and amazingly I went through that. I went through obstacle challenges, never thought I could. I went for the water challenge and kayaking, though I couldn’t swim. God was good, he used this to train me, and not letting fear cripple me, discovering abilities I never thought I have.

And through the forest tracking at night close to midnight and obstacle challenges, and camping there for 4 days with new people, I’ve learnt one thing…

                                               1_758756208l 1_635760262l 1_358147603l T-E-A-M-W-O-R-K

Teamwork is so important in any situation and most importantly how important all of us are as part of the body of Christ. I’ve learnt that in all fears to trust in Christ, he’s truly my best friend. No one tops Him. I’m really really glad I went for the camp! :)

011207 MYF Christmas Party 2007

December 18th, 2007 by michelle-ching87

1 December 2007 - MYF christmas party at Erin’s mansion (kidding) :) I invited my college friends for this event, Patricia, Lily and Xiaoyan (aka Mandy Wong).. :p

Being typical kiasus, we left for Erin’s place at 425pm and arrived at her place 10 mins before 5pm, and guess what???? we were the ppl to arrived after Naomi. Hmm, so much for being punctual. Everybody arrived about almost 530pm.

We started the game with icebreaker, well that was my game.. but conducted by naomi. Just for the record, Naomi, Anusha and I design the games for the party.. hahaha :) can u imagine that?

Anyway, after the ice breakers, we sang a few carols :) led by Elaine Teh, and her musicians Daniel - guitarist and Sook Jing - pianist. The songs were sung gung-holieee.. and very joyfully! :) After that, we proceed to another game, before that we had the people split into 3 groups. In fact, the participants participated enthusiastically. It was great!…

We proceed to watch a video, Hope Celebration video. It was pretty lengthy, but good. The message was clear, about the reason we celebrated Christmas. Yes, this was supposedly an evangelical Christmas celebration.

After that, we had dinner! Mmmmmmm.. we had lots of yummy food, we even had a turkey! How rewarding is that?? :) My friends enjoyed the food, and so glad they savour the mi siam and curry chicken my mum prepared too! :) sooooo much foood!!!!! :) Talk about passionate eaters!

After dinner, my friends had to leave. However, Elaine Teh did not let them leave empty handed, letting them leave with their share of exchange gifts.

We then proceed to more gamesssss….. the night was ended with prize givings and exchange presents.. One thing we forgot.. group picture. But one objective was achieved, everybody enjoyed themselves at the party! :) N561163590_264214_119 N561163590_264215_381 N561163590_264216_599 N561163590_264220_1506 N561163590_264221_1751 N561163590_264231_4423

23-241107 MYF council retreat 2007

December 18th, 2007 by michelle-ching87

2Hmm, u probably wonder what am I doing in the MYF council retreat since I’m not even part of the council… Well, I was lucky, was invited to the retreat.

23 November 2007 - Sook Jing and I went to have our dinner at McD in Petaling street earlier before going to church, our meeting point at 8pm. After having our all time favourite meal, we headed to church.

Before departure, Mandy said a journey prayer for all of us. We had a few drivers, Erin, Kelvin, Mandy’s dad to drive all of us there. It has been quite a distance to Mandy’s parents’ country home in Semenyih. We reached there at approximately 9pm. Wow, the house is .. B-E-A.. u.. TIFUL ^_^

After unloading our bags into the house, we settled down, and started our program, started with Erin’s sharing on Nehemiah, and then we had our prayers.. while having our discussion on Nehemiah, Elaine Teh and Shearn arrived. After the prayers, we settled into our rooms, and call it a night.

24 November 2007 - Getting up, and washing up preparing for a new day. We were served by Mandy’s mum wonderful breakfast, having hams, hard boiled eggs, kaya, toast, butter, sausages, mmm.. coffee, milo, juices.. :) after stuffing ourselves with such wonderful meal, we then proceeded with our program, with prayer, sharing about roles of the council members, and plans for 2008. That could have lasted longer, but Mandy call for a intercession for lunch, and will have continue otherwise. We had take out for lunch *yummy* and desserts, fruits and jelly :)

After lunch, we continued the discussion which was warmly participated by all… which lasted till about 6pm, we then ended with a prayer. Getting ready for dinner out.

We had a group picture taken before heading out for dinner. A few of us pack our bags, since we want to leave after dinner back to KL. We had a lovely dinner at a Hakka restaurant highly recommended by Mandy’s dad, he was right.. the food was excellent :)

After dinner, Erin, Dante, Allana (caunselor), Anusha and myself left for KL. As Sook Jing, Elaine Teh, Adrian, Shearn, Kelvin, Mandy and Mandy’s parents stayed back. I’ve enjoyed the retreat very very very much! :) So glad I went!S714442313_279962_3676 S714442313_279963_3986 S714442313_279964_4231 S714442313_279965_4478 S714442313_279967_4979 S714442313_279968_5235 S714442313_279976_7291 S714442313_279981_8696 S714442313_279990_987 S714442313_279995_2838

Makan spree 2

May 6th, 2007 by michelle-ching87

5th May 2007 - Marks the day of our very very very own Food and Funfair in KL WESLEY METHODIST CHURCH!!!!!!!! X) The day has finally arrived!!!!!!!!

I slept the night before at 3am, and got up at 745am! Feeling tired yet excited.. After quiet time and washing up, I dash for the LRT station and guess who I saw there???? LEE SOOK JING!!!!!!!!!! Wow, talking about coincidences! ^^ Anyway, we got in the same train, talk talk talk talk talk ALL the way to Pasar Seni, then Shearn fetch both of us to church! Thank you Shearn and SJ! =)

When we got to church, wow.. it was just incredible, the exciting feeling, the bursting joy and just the atmosphere itself.. Would you take a look at the inflatables???!!! WOOhoo.. it was definitely time to par-tay!!! =) The smiles, big goofy smiles were just plastered on everybodys’ faces! God was DEFINITELY there!!!!!!! why? Because the weather was great, so sunny and no rain!!!!! BTW I get to see my beloved pet brother, Frankie (I misses him alot), and Angel and Polly! It was just so great to see all of my friends whom I haven’t seen them in ages!!!!!

So when we got there, we started to put our bags aside, and we started helping out preparing before the opening ceremony at 10am.. busy busy busy as a bee, for me was rushing to toilets to ‘borrow’ liquid soaps - mind you people I only went to the Ladies.. ^^ and yes, helping out, everybody so busy helping out.

By the time, it was 10am, everybody stop working, going out of the field near the MBS carparks to watch the opening ceremony of the Food and Funfair by a word of prayer by Pastor Andrew Tan, then our mascot charming bear bear (rented from Memory Lane) and also our very own Boys Brigade band! It was just sweet! Such priceless moment! Right after the partay just started, everybody started getting busy serving customers, customers kept coming and coming! Fathers and daughters, wow I wished my parents came too X’( hehehe but what was more amazing =) that the cute cute sponsored children, from M’sian care and etc also came!

After my shift ended at 11am, I went makan spree with Kelvin, Catherine, and Polly. We started off with a quarter slice of pizza each, then sharing 2 packets of fried kuey teow.. then sharing ice kacang, then we had incredibly proffessionaly made sushi by chefs from Equitorial Hotel, then we had satay! Then we went off to the MPH to cool ourselves… then after was just plain lepak, meeting up with friends.. and visiting their stalls, Laura, Pauline, Simon, and Audrey Yap! Wow, through our observations, many many cool stalls, Sinma, haircutting, manicurists, memory lane, kids superstar photoshoots, chicken rice shop, dim sum shop, the inflatables, bowling with coconuts! ….. After all of that, we get to watch Pastor Andrew getting dunked! Wow you wouldn’t believe the crazyness of the bet up to RM60, and so many sponsors, hahahaha… He got dunked twice and once by his wife. hahahahahahah….

Right after, we went back to help at our stalls, and guess who we saw??????????? Vince Chong, his mum, his sis and even Hannah Tan???? Wow! Amazing huh? A celebrity at our food and funfair! The amazing part was, no idiots made an embarrassing scenes (guess we M’sians know how to behave) thank God =)

Anyway, everything with the clearing up and all ended at 515pm. There was a thought of going to DUMC, but since we were drained out and dead tired being there for 10hours, and sticky, and stinky.. we thought it would be best to postphone the idea and head home instead! Wow, what an incredibly amazing day! What say you? :) I knew I had a blast, and thank you God! =)

2 decades of blessing?

March 5th, 2007 by michelle-ching87

3rd March 2007

I didn’t really have a hard time remembering my own birthday and how old I’m turning, since I had friends to do the countdown for me, a week earlier.. (yah yah, don’t look so innocent for those who are reading and who did the countdown - you know who you are) hehe :p

It was very touching to have people to remember your birthday! And having friends to call on the dot of your birthday, and messages, and testimonials on friendster… wishes the day before, the day itself, and the day after.. it was like a pre/eve b’day, b’day, and post/belated b’day! Like a 3 day goody! :) When I was younger, getting presents are exciting, but now I find getting personal messages/ wishes more exciting!

Had ang pows from family members… $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$, and couple of presents! But what was more cherished was the personal messages/ wishes from all of them! :)

After class 9-11am, had friends invite to One U, or just to hang out, but unfortunately had lunch plans and also to church youth meeting. Had b’day lunch at Nandos with Jillian.. :) It was nothing better than a good time of fellowship accompanied with great food! :) Then we went back to church for MYF, I have to say I’m really surprised many knew it was my b’day! Wishes all the way!

Then after small group discussion! I was lagi surprised that there was a cake .. not only for me, also for other feb and march babies! And what’s more.. Audrey Kwong who’s same b’day with me was also there! So unexpected! Thought the celebration was going to be at the end of March!

Then many more wishes until 12am, and more wishes the day after as well! Definitely a very very very meaningful b’day! :) ‘Expect the unexpected from God’ :)

Dinner at King Crab Restaurant :)

March 5th, 2007 by michelle-ching87

2nd March 2007

My brother’s 19.. hahaha, for a day we’re the same age! *joy*.. Not only that we’re both a year difference but our birthdays are a day difference.. :)

After our one hour lecture in college, then Erene, Alisia and I went to one u, to waste our time there since we had a couple of hours more before dinner with the rest at King Crab Restaurant which was located opposite the Kelana Jaya Putra LRT station. So we went for a drink, and hang out till it was time for dinner!

So we left One U, and headed for King Crab R. surprisingly we were actually caught in the traffic, not that it wasn’t unexpected since the time we left was peak hour… by the time we reached, we thought *oops* we were going to be half an hour late, but surprisingly when we went we weren’t that late, since many more weren’t there yet! :) *phewww…

Finally everybody settled, almost 7pm.. ( Donovan, Shaun, Geraldi, Sam, Chau, Sharon, Patricia, Yun Ru, Chris, Kin Yee, Alisia and me) then orders were made.. Then, thanks to Sharon she made the announcement of my birthday the next day, and wishes came about and that sort of break the ice.. Well, we may all be in the same course and class, but we don’t know everybody on a personal basis! Gotta admit, I did hesitate about joining in for dinner.. but so far so good! :)

Food came, and even had the longevity noodle, that supposedly birthday person should eat that noodle.. haha :) food was good! Then conversation became more friendlier, many entertainers in our midst! And dinner ended about 10pm something.. Patricia, Alisia and I headed home.. the rest went to Sharon’s place .. definitely a night worth the time spent :)

There goes my hols…

26th February 2007 … there goes my hols, the start of college.. hehehe, okay maybe Im being overly dramatic, so far the start is okay.. no complaints yet! :) ….. but the thought of no time flexibility of getting up as I like.. hmm.. I’m definitely feeling lazy.. since given the hols.. :p
